You Decide

Dear Followers,

I am sorry to say that I believe this to be my last post. It grieves me so to have to leave you. Furthermore, I will leave you with a decision to make. You get to decide what happens to myself. If you had not read the papers, Biddy had married Joe. This union is a little on the odd side for myself considering I was on my way to ask Biddy to marry me when I learned of this union. Also, Joe has always been a father-figure toward myself and it seems odd that he would marry a woman whom I wished to. Nevertheless, I am happy for Joe and it gives me great pleasure to see him so happy. I believe he deserves it. Also, they have a son and name him Pip, if only I could figure out where I have heard the name Pip before. Oh well, also, I am a business partner with Herbert in his firm now, which I ironically started for him. One day I had decided to make a visit to the Satis house and Estella was there. She had told me that Drummle had died. I believe we can revive our old friendship and who knows maybe more will come of it. You decide

Sorrow

Dear Followers,

Abel Magwich is dead. He was captured in my attempt to get him out of the country and free from the grasps of the law. I had tried to get back to safety in my boat with the help of Startop and Herbert, but it just did not work out. He was spotted by the police and captured. He was then taken to jail and was to be executed for his crimes. I feel badly about all of this because even though he did it for the wrong reasons he did do all of this to help me and I do respect him for that. A bit of information that makes me rest easier is that he died of disease before he could be executed. At least this way he did not suffer too badly.

Didn't see this coming or Oops what did I do

Dear Followers,

I have finally find out the identity of my benefactor. Guess who?? Alright, I'll tell you anyway, it is the convict. The convict aka Abel Magwich came to visit me the other day. He told me that he was my benefactor and that he had been the one supplying me with my funds after he escaped again. I am surprised to say the least with this revealed. Also, I feel awful knowing that I left Joe and Mrs. Joe and Biddy for this extravagant lifestyle. I had done all of this for Estella. Now the reality is that I believed Ms. Havisham to be my benefactor and to have a plan for me to marry Estella, and this plan is just a figment of my imagination. The harshest part of all is knowing that I left Joe, my only real friend before Herbert for a convict. This really doesn't feel very good.

Mixed Emotions

Dear Followers,

I have come to the realization that Mrs. Joe was not all that bad. This may come a little too late, considering she is dead. At first, I had not much emotion considering I had distanced myself from my past life so much, and that Mrs. Joe was certainly not the kindest person toward me. Now I can see that she did care about me and that even though she beat me, she has had a hard life too and she did the best that she could to raise me. I will forever remember her for that.

Great!!!!!!!(There is sarcasm in this if you didn't notice)

I had just received a letter from Biddy the other day. It was nice to hear from her again. However, my good mood was ruined by the looming visit of Joe to London, which was mentioned in her letter. I wish he would stay away. This is all that I need a lowly character like Joe to embarrass me again. If it was not bad enough what he did at Ms. Havisham's when he visited, now he wants to make me look like a fool again. This is nuts. Why cannot he see that I have not written him in so long for a reason. I am happy with my life as it is now, he can just stay out of it. I have to admit when he came he was not all that bad and at least he told me that Estella was in town and wanted to see me. This takes some of the burden of Joe away, and I just hope that he leaves soon and does not interfere with Estella's visit.

Disappointed

Dear Followers,

I am disgusted. After finally arriving in London, I found it to be awful. It was nothing that I had imagined. The city was: dirty, dusty, muggy, and altogether bad. I was so looking foreword to having a wonderful new life in London, but this place is not giving me a good first impression. I wish that this city were only half as beautiful as I imagined it, at least that would be bearable. I cannot stand to write about such horrid things. This frustrated me so. I will attempt to make the best of a bad situation. This city had better be nicer than it is now!

London, Here I come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Followers,

It seems as if I may finally be able to become the gentleman that Estella will want from me. I know it has been a long time since we have had relations, but I am truly and honestly in love with her as much as I was the day I met her. I will be going to London to go live with another family and I hope that I will meet the secret beneficiary whom I have been informed of thorough Jaggers, my lawyer. Once arriving there with the assistance of Uncle Pumblechook he frequently quizzed me on numbers. This offended me, he could easily see that I had no knowledge of math and would not be able to answer. Along with offending me, it amused me considering that he ran his business in a rather unusual manner(see quote below). I must be on my way now, I have places to go and things to see.

Confused, Excited, and Common

Dear Followers,

I have a lot to tell you and little time to tell it. I have recently been to Ms. Havisham's house. She is a old lady whom lives in a large old manor. She and the entire house seem to come from the past and are almost frozen in time. Mr. Pumblechook was the one who first had me go to visit her. He had relations with her and suggested that I go over to play. I arrived there greeted by the most beautiful girl that I had ever seen. Her name was Estella, she seemed to have some relation to Ms. Havisham, but at the time I am not sure what it is. She was very cold toward me and eventually called me "common". I had never come to the realization of that before today, never the less, I loved her. She was all that I could think about even though she had not said one kind thing towards me. Then as the realization hit me, I discovered that I did not want to be common. Also, if I had any chance at having Estella for myself, I would not possibly be able to remain common. I had set out my mind to change this. When I returned home, I was bombarded with questions about this visit and I made up extravagant lies to get out of it. I told these lies until Joe came in and the guilt was too much to handle and I confronted him about these falsehoods later on. He gave me some good advice, and I hope that I will be able to take it.

Quotes

I did something bad (P.S. don't tell it's a secret)

Dear Followers,

I hope that this will better explain what I left you with in my last posting referring to the meeting I have set with the convict. (P.S. I would be very interested to hear your opinions referring to the question which I gave you to ponder.) I met the convict in the churchyard while I was visiting the graves of my parents and my siblings(excluding Mrs. Joe). If you had not picked up this little bit of information yet, I am an orphan. Anyway, I was in the churchyard and I saw him. He seemed to be a convict just by his rugged appearance, not to mention the large iron brace on his leg. He was starving, smart me to save my own skin I promised to bring him food and a file. Also, being the genius that I am I told him where I live and he told me that if I told anyone of this that he had a friend that would do horrible things to me. His friend was another convict, whom according to him would eat my organs and heart if I did not follow through with my promise. But just to save all of you from worrying about me, I did. I brought him a plethora of items including: a file, whiskey, minced meat, bread, and pie. He seemed very grateful for this, however I feel terrible for doing this injustice to Joe by stealing from him. He has been my best and only friend through my short existence. It just tears up my insides to think of how Joe would react to this, so therefore I must not tell him, and risk jeopardizing our friendship. Again dear followers, I will leave you on a question. What would you do if you happened to fall into my situation, and why? I will look foreword to your responses.

Your Humble Leader,
-Pip

Who am I and what will I become?

Dear Followers,

I am at the present confused and uncertain as to my future. I have no clue as of now exactly what I am to become, and Mrs. Joe is not doing anything to help the cause. With her "bringing me up by hand", it is not exactly the best feeling to be treated so lowly that i need to be beaten. It makes me feel inferior to be treated in such an absurd manner. Although I am highly grateful to her and Joe for taking me in to live with them, I still know that she is not my mother and that Joe is not my father, in fact Mrs. Joe is only my sister. How awful would it feel if your sister were to beat you constantly and for there to be no authority figure over her to run to for protection. Although, Joe is there for me and helps to protect me from her, he is also as I believe it to be "brought up by hand", therefore not giving me the same sense of security that I would have if he were the "Master of the House". Also, Mrs. Joe is telling me that I will one day grow up to become a convict. She says that I ask to many questions and convicts start out asking a lot of questions. Now I must leave you my dear followers for I have a previous date arranged with a convict. If you wonder about this I will be sure to post it in full detail in my next entry. As I leave you, I will give you a question to ponder over for the time being. How would you feel if the person who is almost solely in charge of your well being(For most of you that would be your parents) told you that you would grow up to become a criminal, beginning at a young age?

Sorry for the Delay

Dear Followers,
I apoligize for the delay in bringing you my opinions and feelings regarding my life and other events which included myself. However, I promise to make up for this injustice to which I have done you. I have found it quite difficult living in the 1860's to gain access to a computer (Let alone one with internet service), but now that I have, through a series of events best left unsaid, I will bring you up to speed on all of the events in my life and my with a personal twist to the best of my ability.
